The food was delicious, our server was super nice and helpful, and the atmosphere was beautiful. We had an amazing view of the sun set and the seating is spaced out enough that it doesn't ever feel crowded our too loud. It was a lovely experience. Highly recommend!
Excellent food, service and location. Located on the top floor of the condo building, the view is amazing. The menu consists of small plates and mains with a good selection of vegetarian, meat and seafood. The wine list is not big but well chosen.
10/10 recommend for any business dinners. The service was amazing, the staff was very efficient, brought the courses at the perfect time, and the food … there are no words besides unreal. You can tell there’s passion in the food they make. Can’t wait for next time!
Chic restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Ignoring bugs on outside of windows one has no control over and double paned glass reflections - the views are nice. Food (fries) a bit over salted IMO and service okay (meaning top notch for Ottawa, but below a cruise ship level). Would return if someone else was paying :)
The restaurant has an elegant and sophisticated ambiance, and the service throughout our visit was fantastic. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming, which made us feel right at home.
One thing that really stood out to me was their great selection of gins. I'm a gin enthusiast, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the drinks they served.
The view from the penthouse of this building is breathtaking, and it offers a unique perspective of downtown Ottawa. We were able to see the Parliament building from afar, but also had an up-close view of the National Military Cemetery. It was an amazing sight to behold.
When it came to the food, we were not overwhelmed but not disappointed either. The dishes were tasty and had great portion sizes. However, the dessert of pouding chomeur was just fine - nothing special. It would have been next to tasteless if not for the ice cream. Those who remember pouding chomeur from their younger days might have been disappointed.
Overall, Le St Laurent is a restaurant that I would recommend you give a try for anyone looking for a new dining experience in Ottawa. The combination of the view, great service, fantastic drinks, and delicious food make it a must-visit for anyone in the area. While the dessert was not the highlight of the meal, it did not take away from the overall experience. I would definitely try this restaurant again in the future.
My family and I came here for a dinner. I ordered a duck confit, and was blown away by the rich, complex flavours and the variety in texture the plate had to offer with its complimentary sides.
Very friendly staff, very nice ambience. More people need to know of this place. A must try for anyone in the Ottawa valley.
Le St. Laurent is probably Ottawa’s best kept secret. Hidden up on a penthouse with a most amazing view…but the food is something else!!! So love that this is a family affair…Chef Ryan and his wife Shannon both are very approachable and their staff is extremely helpful and cheery! Why not, they work in a beautiful place, with beautiful coworkers and such an amazing kitchen! You cannot go wrong here! The cocktails are great, the food is amazing and the place, ambience, view, vibe, is memorable. Treat yourself….just do it!
After visiting countless venues, I finally found the perfect restaurant to host my private party! I rented the entire penthouse which seated approximately 70 guests comfortably. The service was excellent, the views were stunning and the food was phenomenal! I would also like to mention Shannon and Ryan, owners, hosts and chef of Le St-Laurent who, both were extremely accommodating, flexible and provided invaluable guidance, showing patience throughout my planning phase. I highly recommend Le St-Laurent for your next evening out or venue for a private event.
